Our Story

Founded in 2002 in Vancouver, Canada, Polestar was born out of founder Jared Hsieh’s passion for music and sound. His early experiences in speaker retail revealed how many audiophiles were priced out of quality systems. Determined to change this, Jared created Polestar with the goal of uniting people with the sound they love.

Polestar’s first product, the Vanguard Series, quickly gained recognition and, in 2007, the Vanguard V-F1 was named among the most recommended speakers by American Hi-Fi media—proving that great sound can come at an honest price.

Today, Polestar offers a curated lineup of Hi-Fi, home theatre, subwoofer, and recessed/mounted speakers—all designed to deliver deep bass, clear midrange, and an authentic listening experience without compromise.
